OpenIAM provides several deployment options for both on-premises and native cloud deployments. In this section, we provide more details on the two most common deployment types.

Hello,

I see that version **4.2.1.13** is now available.
I’m currently running **OpenIAM CC 4.2.1.12**.
Is there any documentation available that explains how to upgrade to this new version?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello @MarVI,

The latest version is 4.2.1.14 – I will update the _Getting Started Guide_ links shortly.

Instructions on how to upgrade can be found in our docs at this link: [Upgrading from versions 4.2.1.x to version 4.2.1.14 in RPM](https://docs.openiam.com/docs-4.2.1.14/installation/1-rpm-installation/6-upgrading/5-upgradingto-42114)

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your reply.
I’ll proceed with the upgrade then.

However, after checking the **env.conf** file under the _upgrading_ section, I noticed the following lines:

```auto
############ UPGRADING #############################
# This variable is used by upgrade script only
export OIAM_TYPE="enterprise"
export UPGRADE_TO_VERSION=""
export VAULT_VERSION_UPGRADE=""
export OIAM_TYPE=enterprise
```

I haven’t modified this part of the file, so I don’t understand why the type is set to **enterprise**.
Should I replace it with **community** , or is this variable not yet used in the current version?

Hello @MarVI, you can keep the configuration file as is and continue with the upgrade.
