OpenIAM 4.2.1.13 and MariaDB Server

Hola,

I have deployed OpenIAM in version 4.2.1.13 and MariaDB Server (mariadb Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.5.29-MariaDB, for Linux (x86_64) using EditLine wrapper).

Could you update MariaDB to version 10.11?

Thanks.

Hi,

Could you update MariaDB Server? Or is it not compatible?

OpenIAM version: 4.2.1.15

Thanks.

Hi

Could someone clarify this doubt for me?

The version of MariaDB 10.5 is out of support and I would like to know if it can be uploaded to 10.11

Thanks.

Hello @lgc,

I will check with my team and reply shortly.

Thanks.

Hello @lgc,

While upgrading MariaDB itself from 10.5.x to 10.11 is generally supported by MariaDB, OpenIAM has not officially certified this upgrade path for OpenIAM 4.2.1.13.

If you’re planning this upgrade for an existing deployment, we recommend testing it in a non-production environment first. Our engineering team is currently evaluating support for newer MariaDB versions as part of our platform compatibility efforts for the OpenIAM 2026.x.x release line. MariaDB 10.11 is supported with the OpenIAM 2026.x.x release line on EL10. For OpenIAM 4.2.1.x, the supported MariaDB versions are:

  • EL8: MariaDB 10.3
  • EL9: MariaDB 10.5

We’ll update our documentation once validation is complete.

Thanks.
