Testing on a virtual machine

HI, I have a Mac with an M1 processor and ARM architecture. Is it possible to virtualize Open IAM and a virtual machine for testing?

Hi. Not exactly answering your question, but are you sure you have enough RAM on your M1 laptop? Minimum RAM for OpenIAM is 48 GB and will not probably start if not met (I am sure about that in Docker, however RPM install might not be so strict)…

Hello,

Deploying the platform on a VM running on the Apple MX processors currently isn’t a possibility with the current release. This will change in the upcoming 4.2.2 release where there will be support added for installing OpenIAM via Docker on Macs running the Apple processors. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

4.2.2 is currently set to be released in late April. There will be an announcement once the release is finalized.
